Clinicians with Conditions is a support network for private clinicians with lived experience of accessing healthcare, who understand what it's like to be a patient and seek to put care, compassion, and empathy at the center of healthcare. We provide an open community, where clinicians can support each other, provide monthly talks by professionals, and give access for members to access articles supporting them in business and practice.

Our Mission
Clinicians with Conditions was founded by healthcare professionals who understand both sides of the consultation room. Born from lived experience, we believe that by reorienting care around the values of compassion, empathy, and authentic care, we can drive real improvements in health outcomes—not just for patients, but for clinicians too. This network exists to champion a more human-centred approach to healthcare—where our personal experiences strengthen, rather than silence, our professional voice.

Compassion
compassion is the thread that binds our professional dedication to our personal journeys. It means recognising that every colleague and patient carries a story; often unseen, and choosing to respond with kindness, patience and dignity. Many of us know what it’s like to persevere through pain while caring for others. That lived perspective fuels a deeper sense of compassion not only for our peers, but for ourselves. It’s about creating a culture where support flows both ways, and where being human is celebrated... Not hidden.
Empathy
Empathy means far more than professional courtesy; It’s a shared understanding rooted in lived experience. As healthcare professionals who navigate chronic or long-term conditions ourselves, we recognise what it’s like to sit on both sides of the consultation room. Empathy, for us, is about meeting one another without judgement, acknowledging vulnerability, and offering support that’s informed, respectful, and real. It’s what allows us to care for others while also honouring the journeys we walk ourselves.
